Just finished reading Tony Cascarino’s brilliant football book Full Time. Although it’s about eight years old, it’s one of the best accounts of the life of a professional footballer I’ve read.
Cascarino is unusually honest and frank; he could play with the best on the pitch and cheat with the best at home. His self-depricating style is refreshing in a genre where the predictability of the career highlights tend to overshadow the real human story.
